Dan smiled slightly as he moved to the cabinets and began to sit out several different cans of soup, both small cans and large cans on the counter and turned to grab the can opener and a bowl and spoon as well as a ladle. "I know it's not much but it's better than nothing, right." he stated with a small grin as he turned and grabbed a well used clothe and his wetting stone and headed towards the couch.

As he sat down he snagged his katana sheath and slid the sword out, grimacing slightly at the fact that he had put the blade away while still caked with gore and sighed even as he pulled a thin strip of bamboo from the side of the sheath and looked over at his guest. "Sometimes the feel of being clean makes your day." he stated with a grin before using the bamboo and clothe to stuff into the sheath, cleaning the inside before he turned and began to sharpen the blade.

"I've plenty of water but for hot it needs to be heated up." he stated as he nodded towards the waiting propane stove.
