Dan sighed softly as he paused in his sharpening and looked over at the young girl. "I'm sorry bout your collage experience." he said with a lopsided smile than soon faded. "Maybe...hopefully...your family is alive and fighting like you are." he said with conviction lacing his voice.
Shifting he looked down at the blade and wet stone he held and shrugged. "Truthfully...I was always on the run...even now the fuckers that have been after me for years...hell since I was 7...are still chasing me even now." he said softly, a weary smile curving his lips. "Just yesterday I escaped from ten of them and laughed when one got bit and shot so that he wouldn't turn." he sighed again as he shrugged and resumed sharpening his blade.
