When the two girls finally ended back up in Horunka Village, they were both panting hard, scared out of their wits, and deeply dismayed. Hisui sighed, glancing at the quests at the left of her vision. At the end of it all, neither of them had obtained the Little Nepent's Ovule at all.

"...sorry about the mess you had to go through, just for following me," she told the girl named Amber gently, patting her on the shoulder. Even though this girl was the reason why the whole quest had gone horribly wrong, at the end of it all, Hisui couldn't really feel mad at her--she had only been trying to help, right?

In any case, it couldn't be helped--she'd have to try to obtain the ovule tomorrow. Finding two health potions, Hisui drank one up quickly, trying to ignore the taste that seemed to get bitterer with each drop that entered her mouth. She placed the other potion next to Amber, and went around the village one more time. First, she got her sword, boots, and cape repaired; next, she refilled her stock of potions; then, she finally found the inn. Even though she had been sure she could go on longer without sleep, in the end that hadn't been the case--she was exhausted now.

The battle against the Nepents had given Hisui enough money to afford a room at the inn. As soon as she closed the door to her room, she collapsed upon the bed without bothering to take off her clothes, falling into a deep sleep.
