"I think I greatly enjoy the Italian pasta with chicken."
Valentine smiled and made the girl a glass of wine. "And it goes great with this" She added. "By the way, knowing Jenn this party will be semi-fancy. I have some dresses in the back if you'd like to look at them before we leave. There's literally a million dresses back there and about just the same amount of suits for guys." She laughed at herself. She had a little collection, she couldn't help it.
"Alright," Reyna replied with a nod of her head. "I'll have the pasta then and I would love to see your compilation." After Valentine closed up her restaurant Reyna followed the woman to the back, wondering what she would do with her bag and why this woman was so nice to strangers. She began going through the dresses, admiring the extensive assemblage of gowns this person owned and the beauty of the different cloth and designs. After a while, Reyna came upon a simple yet elegant black garment with silver clasps and a bit of a frill on the bottom, attached to the hanger was a pair of black silk gloves that tied in on the wrists. She plucked the dress off of the rack and went into the bathroom to change, stuffing her school uniform into her bag and stepping out from the stall, in awe of the perfect fit and how flattering it was to her body. If only she had something to go with it besides the canvas sneakers she wore nearly everyday to school.
Her phone began to buzz from the bottom of her bag, Reyna rifled through her textbooks and arrows, finding the smartphone the task force had given her after her 50th kill.
Meeting tonight at 1000 all officers are required to attend.
Due to unforeseen circumstances I will not be able to appear at tonight's rendezvous; busy doing angst filled teenager stuff. She shut the phone off and placed it back at the bottom of her satchel, then exited the bathroom to find she was the last one out. "Sorry to make you wait," she apologized. "Had to take care of some stuff," Reyna ran a hand through her hair purple, an odd habit she had picked up a while back.
Jennova's residence was huge, it was at least twice the size of her own town. She whistled, clearly impressed as they made their way down the road to the mansion at the end of the street. How had she never noticed this house before? Or maybe because of its massive size she assumed it was something else? Reyna wasn't sure, but she suddenly realized how loud the group was and how out of place she felt. Was she the youngest there? The girl had never really cared about age, but she felt out of place like a pigeon in a flock of flamingos.
