Takeru Daijuuji
"I honestly didn't expect to see you here.." Jennova stated.
He could not exactly say why he did decide to come to the party, what with all the monsters and hostile beings up and about. Perhaps he wanted to learn more about them. Unlike what he was told by a certain radical group he was secretly in, some monsters even appeared quite friendly and welcoming in contrast to a hostile and savage pack of creatures that he was originally led to believe that they were. And while not every one of them looked friendly or were kind (Ashton obviously being the person who he was thinking of at this moment), they weren't all out to kill him... so far.
"I don't know if you remember, but I did kind of steal your life essence. Which was a horrible idea, my little sister told me your a hybrid as well. She can sense that in people, unlike I." she continue. There that word was again. 'Hybrid'. What were these people basing this off of? His attractiveness? Should he be flattered? It was strange.
Takeru sighed, a bit annoyed at it. "Hybrid, hybrid, hybrid! What's the deal? Last time I checked, I was just a human! Who is giving people the idea that I am anything but? My parents were just normal people too. Are you sure your sister just isn't getting this wrong? I think I heard something about her having difficulties with her powers, maybe that's the case here, but I am nothing but a normal human being." when he was done, he took a sharp breath in and out and calmed himself down. It probably would not be good to get worked up over something like this anyway. "Well, I just came here on a whim. I figured it would be rude to turn you down since you decided not to 'eat' me."
The young human at least managed to nod at someone who had waved at him, not wanting to offend someone just because he was a bit upset people were calling him a hybrid (Levi, of course). The man seemed to carry himself a lot like an old guy, if Takeru could properly describe it. Perhaps he was? Monsters did not age as humans did, as far as he knew, so this guy could have been over 9000 years old. Since he was not giving Takeru any glares or licking his lips, the man seemed at least safe enough to talk to, but at a later occasion. Right now he was busy with Jennova.
"But if you don't mind me asking, how is it like having a sibling? I know it may be much different between species, but I always wanted a little bro to beat up or hang around with." Takeru asked her. With all the money in the world, you could not buy an actual family member, not that Takeru was rich to begin with. Deciding to test his luck, he also added. "She seems cute enough. I hope that watching out for her isn't too hard a task for you." These words, of course, were said with his utter obliviousness to Jennora's actual situation. All he knew is that she was Jennova's sister, and that she was a hybrid who had difficulty with controlling her powers. He hadn't any way to know about what Jennova had to do to keep her safe or the sort.
But realizing what he said, he mentally double-checked. Did I really compliment a girl? The thought did scare him a bit. He was not known for openly complementing girls for no reason, as he just did now. Sure, he'd admit when he thought a girl looked cute, but only when asked by a friend or if it was brought up. He did not ever compliment out of the blue, so of course he had to question himself.
Maybe Jennova's still got a hold on me or something. Yes, that's it.
And so, denying any other possibility, he decided to blame it on Jennova, as that was the easiest thing to do. Because there was no way he'd be taking interest in girls, especially at this point in his life.
Or perhaps it was the alcohol. Probably. Maybe.
