Jennova's Mansion || Party
Levi didn't get a response from Rose after he mentioned the oh-so-powerful fey. It worried him and his expression said so. "What did you do?" Levi asked the question as a guardian would ask a child when they got a report from the child's school. He needed to know if it was reasonable to approach Ashton. He didn't want to start a fight this early on, especially since it would have been convenient to have Ashton usable as a pawn.
This is much bigger than it looks, I have rom for a pet elephant if I really wanted one." Jennora said something that made Levi raise his eyebrows in a questioning expression. He did not however, voice the unspoken question. He would take her word for it, she didn't seem to have reason to lie about her home. He didn't say anything in response.
Afterwards he asked Valentine his question and she responded, "Yeah, she was serious. If you'd like I have a job for you right now. Well after the party. Find out who that guy was that was talking to Jenn right before Jennora walked in. He disappeared as soon as she came in so I'm curious if he is the reason she was hunted down here." Those were her exact words. Levi's expression remained blank for a few seconds before changing into the sadistic smile of a predator. He was still a monster after all. He did enjoy hunting.
"I'm not sure who was tracking me down, but it was a pretty damn talented hunter." Jennora seemed to be willing to use the word 'damn' casually, giving the impression to Levi that she wasn't all-to-serious. Levi brought himself back to attention. "Ah right, them." Levi carefully planned his words. "I planned on investigating them anyway but didn't get the chance to." Levi paused for a second before thinking of something that he should have mentioned as soon as he was assigned the task. "Just be sure not to tell anybody you don't trust with your life about me hunting... tracking down this person. If you do consensually tell anyone, be sure to tell them the same thing I'm telling you. I don't need people investigating me while I'm tracking someone down, that's a pain." Levi did honestly not trust most people. He was a realist. There was always a chance that he would be betrayed by others and it was best to remove as many people from his dealings as possible.
"If you're forced to tell someone through a form of mental manipulation or without your consent, tell me as soon as possible." Levi understood the seriousness of his task and wasn't going to leave any loose-ends. He was approaching dangerous territory tracking a hunter, even for a person like him. He couldn't be too careful
Levi waited for a response before turning to face Rose. "I forgot to ask," Levi paused for a second, choosing his words carefully. He was going to ask a potentially dangerous question, yet one that needed to be asked nonetheless. "who turned you into a vampire? Feel free to not answer my question if you want to, I simply want to know who brought you into this world of goblins and demons." Levi hoped Rose wouldn't have a breakdown. It would be a pain to deal with that sort of thing, but he really did expect it.
