Annabelle looked up as Victor approached, her checks flushed as he approached but Annabelle did her best to calm herself. Jennifer looked up as Victor approached and paused her music, however she kept the beats going to make it seem like she was still listening to her music.
“You alright little lady? You didn’t look so hot last night and I was wondering if you might need some help. I’m no Charles Xavier so don’t expect much though.”
Victor offered his support to Annabelle and she giggled lightly, looking up at him with a smile.
‘I’m alright, Mr Creed. Thank you for the concern but I was merely feeling a little homesick and I think I had a little adrenaline sickness from the events of the past few days.’
Annabelle projected to him, her smile hiding the lie of Aurora.
‘You are so pathetic.’
The all to familiar voice of Aurora whispered into Annabelle’s mind, the sultry purr sneaking into the message projected to Victor, Annabelle looked up to see if he’d picked up on it. Annabelle’s face dropped and she seemed paralysed as if expecting Victor to go mental. In that instant, Annabelle switched her telepathy on, all she could hear was Victor’s thoughts from here on, her physical hearing had now switched off.
