Takeru Daijuuji

It seemed Jennova was more inclined to believe what her sister thought about Takeru's heritage rather than what he knew. Well, whatever, it did not matter. No matter what they wanted to claim, Takeru would know if he was a hybrid species, wouldn't he? Especially a vampire. What about him gave off that vampiric vibe? Although he may be considered handsome, he did not believe himself to be overly attractive or anything, like vampires were rumored to be. In some fiction. He wasn't sure, they weren't really the kinds of things he read about. It should also be fair to mention he doesn't particularly enjoy reading much.

"Well it isn't easy having a sibling you have to hide from hunters and people that just don't like what she is. She is my half sister and I love her to death. But it's really amazing to know that I can always count on my sister if nobody else is there for me." Jennova then answered.

He smiled. "Sounds nice. Having people to rely on is important." he said. While at the moment, he was more or less lacking in that department, what with his parents being deceased, he knew this to be true. It's just a shame he had no aunts or uncles or any other family to rely on.

Sadly, Takeru was unable to continue the conversation as, with perfect timing, Asher showed up to ruin the fun.

β€œQuite the place you’ve set up. This party must be very important. You yourself are looking ravishing as well.” Asher complimented Jennova as he completely ignored Takeru's presence. This, of course, did work in upsetting the man, but he would not allow such a cheese eating swamp donkey to get the satisfaction of seeing his irritation. Instead, Takeru remained silent and allowed the two to speak. This proved to be a mistake as Jennova blushed, and because reasons unknown (Takeru was strawberry jelly), this made him upset. Perhaps it was just the conflict between Takeru's personality and Asher's that spawned this new trait in the young oblivious hybrid, because Takeru never had such an apparent problem with someone for as long as he could remember. But effortlessly, as if thrust into the world simply to piss Takeru off, this guy came into existence. And, of course, he was apparently good friends with Jennova, who had also just came out of nowhere, nearly making Takeru do the same.

Of course, the difference between Jennova and Asher, besides gender and race, was that Takeru hated one and like the other. You can guess who fits which.

While Ashton's existence almost made Takeru question if fate just despised him this particular day (again, he was attacked by a vampire earlier today, so he was not in the best mood, mind you), a blessing in the form of a freight train in the form of a young woman collided into Ashton, knocking the smug douche to the floor. In all honesty, it was SO much easier to fight that damn vampire earlier than it was to hold in the fit of laughter Takeru nearly bursted out into, but somehow he managed. Perhaps oblivious to how much Ashton deserved it (or so Takeru thought), she started apologizing immediately, even offering Ashton a hand up. Takeru was not too surprised when he proved to be too prideful to accept it, and instead shot her a cold glare. Guess he was an ass to anyone he did not know, not just men. She departed quickly, and as Ashton decided to continue the conversation with Jennova, Takeru simply told Jennova, "I'll be around, you two catch up." and left on search of something to occupy himself with.

Oh yeah, monsters.

While most did not openly display hostility, Takeru found just about everyone at the party to be unapproachable. This was perhaps due to his unfamiliarity with there being other species, which just made him feel nervous about offending someone who turned out to be a dragon and ate him or something. He did not appear as though he was a small, skittish child hiding in the corner, but he obviously wasn't as talkative as he would normally be in a party. Parties were often awkward when you barely knew anyone there, and it's hard to relate to people who could probably say - with a smile - that they just at your neighbor or something. Ignorant thoughts, likely, but give him a break.

Soon, however, his solitude was destroyed by none other than his favorite stranger without a name. "I'm sorry, but I couldn't help noticing you looked a bit lonely." she stated, and honestly Takeru couldn't really decide how he wanted to react to that. It sounded awkward and properly put together, as a greeting. How he should take it was anyone's guess. So, his response took a great deal of thought, but he formulated something glorious, in terms of responses. It was so well-put together that nobody could dare say he wasn't the baddest mambajamba in town. Something... epic, that described his feelings in one powerful word.

"Yup."

A sigh followed shortly after and he gave a slight shake of his head. "It's a hard knock life for a human at a monster mash." he commented, then turning to face the woman and offering a small smile. "Especially when they claim I'm not just a human, but it's whatever. But you're looking famished for attention as well. I... don't believe you to be a human as well, so my gut tells me, but what's up? Oh, and I'm Takeru, in case you're wondering~"
