Mackenzie felt arms wrap around her and she calmed. Still blind, but her other senses knew that was Tristan holding him.
"It's okay. I'm here, you're safe...I'm so so sorry for no being there. I promise I'll get us out of here...it may take me a while but we will get out. You're going to stay with me."
Mackenzie reached up and felt for his face, whimpering.
*"Yats htiw uoy...?" She said confused, unaware she was speaking backwards, same as when she was speaking a spell. It was a code, her grandmother's coven used to keep people from recreating certain spells. Unfortunately, Mackenzie wasn't aware that she was doing it.
**"Yeht t'ndluow tel em og. I dellac rof uoy tub uoy t'ndluoc reah em." She explained. ***"I t'nod tnaw ot yats ereh. Esaelp t'nod ekam em yats ereh." She begged him, shivering beside him, wishing she could see him.
