Day before
Lisa had been out early, waking in the early morning in hopes of getting to the beach in time to beat everyone else. She was a morning person when it came to weekends, but was much more of a night person on weekdays. She had Joey beside her as she laid back on her board, her breath coming in slightly faster from the excitement and thrill she experienced thanks to the waves. She was tired, yes. She was filled with adrenaline, yes. She was not bored in any way whatsoever however. She smiled as she got the message from Joey via their connection. "You do realize that people will wonder where you are, right?" He asks softy as he moves to lay in a more comfortable spot beside Lisa, glad to be in the sun.
Lisa smiled softly as she ran a hand over the little seal. "Yes, I realize that you little pup. I just wanted a chance to get as much in today as I could, you know that," Lisa says as she looked at the little seal. He looked up and might have sighed should he be able to. With that, he nudes his nose against Lisa's arm before slipping into the surf. Lisa smiled broadly as she sat up, searching for the next wave to try and catch before she caught sight of Des. She hoped he would see her soon enough just so he knew she was out there, but she wasn't sure if he did.
When Des did catch sight of her, she enjoyed her time with him, being with him as she usually did, in a friendly way. When the ceremony was held, she was rather quiet, wrapped in a towel and watching with a smile as she saw it all. She had only seen one before, one after a few years. It was not an experience she thought of... She didn't want to... didn't have to... didn't period.
Current day
Lisa walked down the beach, her eyes somewhat heavy as she moved. Her eyes watched the waves as they crashed to the shore softly, her hands were busy petting Joey gently as she held the still sleeping seal in her arms. He was supposed to be maybe two years old now, but was extremely young looking because whatever reason. He seemed to be having a small dream, making soft noises in his sleep. Lisa smiled as she walked back to the makeshift camp that those of her class had made. She saw an awake Des and a somewhat awake Maisie.
Walking over to them, seeing nobody else awake, Lisa sat down. "Hello there Peter," Lisa says with a smile as she rests Joey in her lap. She had on shorts and a loose tshirt covered by the towel from last night. Her hair was still wet as she had put it up in a loose and rather messy bun in her sleepiness from the night before. "And hello to you to Des and Maisie," Lisa says with a smile as she looks at the cooler appreciatively, though too lazy to get anything from it. "Is anyone else up yet?" Lisa asks as she settles on the sand a bit more.
