Tyler had spent weeks walking from his home in Dragon Cove to New Wave town. He had recieved a message from the famous proffessor Douglas to help guide some trainers through the pokemon league, Tyler loved the thought of going on an adventure through the Yama Region, so he quickly agreed. As he walked through the grass a small teddy bear like pokemon running along at his heels. "Don't worry Teddiursa we'll be there soon" he said to the pokemon. "ursa" the pokemon panted with exhaustion. He reached down and opened his bag "here buddy hop in we'll be there any sec." He said with the small pokemon climbing in. He zipped up the bag quickly and resumed his walk to New Wave.

He finally emerged from the grass into a small quiant town filled with old victorian style homes, a large pokemon lab sat in the center of the town. He saw to boys one with no pokemon that he knew of and another with a Froakie by his side. He heard the one with the froakie talking to the pokemonless boy. He could tell they were both fairly new to the region and he walked up to them. "hey are you guys new to this area?" he asked.
