I received some change and noticed the man's palm was considerable sweaty. I breathed through my teeth as steam came off my hand. Almost immediately, I frantically shoved my hand inside my pocket. The employee raised his eyebrow and was about to ask a question, but I quickly rushed through the doors, trying not to keep the conversation going. I put the case of water bottles on my lap as I entered the Jeep once more. I ripped open the case, carefully not trying to touch anything but the plastic that was holding the bottle.
