Almost 41 months have passed. 41 months of this sickening desire to find the one guilty of robbing me of my family...and best friend. The reason for one to do such a thing remains a mystery to me, though it would make sense if that individual held some sort of irreconcilable grudge towards myself. These months of loneliness have drawn to nothing, and I doubt I'll ever find the suspect and appease my heart.

Here I sat-watching, waiting. The only thing that was given to me that might help me find the guilty individual was what my mother had told me before passing. Few clues of facial features she'd managed to murmur in her terror were left ingrained in my mind, and I could just hope to find that person. It was rather hard considering the size of this world, but there wasn't much I couldn't do with this nagging feeling....one that gave me the will to persevere.

It was then that I heard footsteps approaching, though I knew better than to run now with the proximity of the crunching that came with each step. Within seconds, I'd been pinned to the wall, but didn't really react as I examined the man. A man in his late thirties or early forties with baby blue eyes, blonde hair, and of about 6'1". No. Not whom I was looking for. His breath reeked of alcohol--cheap beer, to be exact--and he had a lazy appearance. I had to commend his strength though, even if it wasn't enough.

"How about a little fun tonight, missy? I'll make it short and sweet." Those alcohol-ridden words stumbled out of his mouth.

"I say you fuck off before you regret it, bastard," I uttered fiercely before slipping out of his grip quickly and grabbing him by the throat. There was little resistance that came from him before he left, simply saying "bitch" before leaving. Things like these I'd gotten used to after many nights of staying out in the midst of the worst parts of town. A cool breeze blew hair across my face, making a form that was off a few feet away indistinguishable.
