I walked in not long after the girl, it was still apparent that she didn't really want to be here and I thought for the time being that we should of gone to my loft or her place to treat her. However the time for that decision had passed already and we stood now with all the other ill and waiting, but that was not to say I didn't have a way to get in front of the line.

I give her arm a slight tug as I start to lead her around one of the service doors for ICU patients. The nurse at the desk only taking a moment to realize who I was and then disregarding me entirely. The memory returns now that I am here walking down the cool sterile corridor with a stranger in tow, peeking around corners for one face in particular. "I have a friend who can help you, I just hope she is in tonight." A tinge of pain shoot through my lower back as we both pass the exact room that I was once laid into during my own stay.

Then the face is not far ahead of me.

Carol was a senior resident of the hospital and was the one who treated me during my rehab, though being in her late forties she was still drudging it down here with the other nurses and orderlies.

I stop with this girl in my arm, doing my best to support her if she were to fall unconscious and waited for the moment that Carol would look up at me. She was there ahead in the hall speaking to a man in crutches, the large white cast wrapping his whole leg was obviously the reason for this and as she said her goodbyes she noticed me. This wasn't the first time I've come in so unannounced to need her services and all she did was give a small look around before motioning towards a room for the two of us.

With a measure of haste I brought this girl in with me and helped her up on the beds edge before looking at her. Carol had most likely gone to grab what she needed for helping us as the large red smear was evident enough of what had happened. "Everything is going to be good, my friend is going to fix you up good." I stared her face over for a moment, for some reason I found myself getting lost in the fact of just looking at her. Either it was the wild look in her eyes or the way she carried herself, but I couldn't really look away before I managed to catch myself in the act and ended up speaking to break the awkward silence.

"So... My name is Lucian by the way.. Just in case your wondering" I could just taste the tension in the air, then again it was most likely the hospital to blame for that in the first place.
