"No, I'm not" Adrian replied to Sylphine's comment. He listened to her saying that it's a bad timing and about saving a man all of a sudden. He looked at her a little puzzled, but immediately realized that she was pointing at the man surrounded by bandits. "Hey, Sylph. Can you throw me there with your wind?" He kindly requested her.

Without asking questions, Sylphine summoned her staff and spun it around, and a strong wind current blew Adrian towards the area he had requested. The bandits were starting to recover from being toppled, but she blasted them with wind again to keep their attention off Adrian.

He was launched all the way to the center, where the man they have to rescue is. He landed beside him and quickly grabbed him, jumping up to the seemingly still sturdy building's roof. He placed him up there and Adrian showed a thumbs up toward Sylphine showing that the rescue is a success.

Sylphine was about to return the thumbs up, when she noticed out of the corner of her eye that the bandits were starting to climb up the building's wall. "Get going, quickly!" she shouted, and prepared another attack...but it was precisely at that point that the building collapsed, sending the bandits plummeting back down to ground among pieces of rock and wood.

Adrian felt the building collapsed below him and quickly grabbed the man again and jumped off using one of the huge slab of rock as a foothold and safely brought the shocked man to the ground. He tumbled on his back to a wall of a building where he is away from the bandits. Adrian quickly took a battle stance and prepared to defend the man.

The two bandits with axes charged Adrian at the same time, swinging their weapons at different angles. Meanwhile, the other bandits wondered just how they could take down Sylphine while she was in the air...before they apparently settled for throwing rocks and knives at her. It was actually kind of funny; none of their weapons required much effort for Sylphine to sweep away with gales.

Adrian can easily dodge the axes, but if he did, he fear that it might hit the civilian. Gladly, since they are wielding axes, the handle is much longer and Adrian simply grabbed both of the with his hands and crushed it with his grip. The axe heads fell to the ground. The bandits immediately throw what remains of their weapon and continued to charge at Adrian. He simply sighed and grabbed the back of their heads and smashed their heads against each other.

Deflecting all the projectiles was starting to get old, so Sylphine decided to go on the offensive. She raised her staff with both hands, and a cyclone spiraled from the emerald at its tip towards the bandits. The swirling wind threw them backwards and slashed into their stolen equipment, toppling most of them like bowling pins. After that, Pirika would attack any downed bandits with air blades fired from her wings to ensure they wouldn't keep attacking.

However, when she got to the bandit with the longsword, Sylphine found she was being greeted by an unnerving savage grin. A moment later, that bandit raised his sword and brought it down, and the cyclone suddenly ripped apart right in front of her. "Heh, that all you got?" the bandit laughed as Sylphine looked on in absolute disbelief.

"How did he..." Sylphine shook her head, reminded herself not to lose focus, and swung her staff again, and a blade of air shot towards the bandit, but once again, he cut the attack in half. "My attacks won't work on this guy?!"

Grinning, the bandit just strode forward towards her at a casual pace. "You gonna stop floating around and fight me like a man?" he taunted. "Cuz you're not gonna get anywhere by cowardly throwing wind at me like that." The next thing Sylphine knew, he was leaping into the air above her, bringing his sword down. Alarmed, she created an updraft to keep him in the air long enough for her to get away. This was...really, really bad, to say the least.

Adrian saw the ongoing battle between the bandit with longsword. "Oh no, I think they're a bad match." Adrian thought as the bandit simply sliced through all her wind attacks. "I got to do something, but I can't leave this man with the ther bandits. Thinking of a way. Adrian picked up a fist sized rock and threw it at him, flying toward his stomach at high speed, passing Sylphine and then turning his eyes back on the other bandits. Quite sure that It will hit.

One bandit with two daggers swiftly ran toward his blindspot by the opening he left after throwing the rock. Adrian turned his back toward him and leaped backward, pushing him against the wall of a building. Another bandit charged while Adrian was down on the ground and swung his sword at him. Adrian pushed himself up with his feet and stood using his hands and pushed the ground, kicking the bandit under his jaw. The others watched him warily. The one with the daggers ran back to the group while Adrian took down the one with sword.

"Is that all you guys got?" He taunts them.

The bandit with the longsword was giving Sylphine no ground. After forcing her to fly closer to the ground with that jump strike, he was attacking her without abandon. Even though Sylphine managed to dodge his sword strikes, she could tell that if even one hit, it'd be worse than getting run over by an angry boar...okay, maybe not that bad, but still.

Kicking off the ground, she tried to ascend again, but the bandit shot forward with a kick and landed a hit directly on her stomach, sending Sylphine crashing into a pile of rubble. "Hah! Weak and pathetic!" the bandit cackled. "A little scrawny brat like you could never stand up to me!"

"Can you say that again?" Sylphine retorted, standing up and trying to ignore how much pain she felt in her midriff. Her staff began to glow once again, and she raised it over her head.

Letting out a chuckle of cruel amusement, the bandit started running towards her...and was promptly hit in the side by a rock. "Guh!" he grunted, glancing backwards. "What th-"

Now was the time. Sylphine brought her staff down with a shout, and a high-pressure wind blasted forward, slamming the bandit and stunning him. While he was dazed, Pirika came bearing down, slashing with a blade of air. The bandit recovered quickly enough to destroy that air blade, but Sylphine was now right next to him, with her own blade of air, slashing his back from right shoulder to left hip. With a howl of pain, the bandit staggered, and glancing backwards with eyes full of rage, he swung his sword the other way. However, Sylphine managed to dodge by throwing herself to the side with wind...and at that moment, Pirika accelerated the blade so that it slammed down into the ground, burying itself there (she made sure Sylphine had enough time to avoid it, of course). The longsword was stuck, and the bandit could do nothing.

From both sides, Sylphine and Pirika slashed with blades of air, finishing the bandit off. As he crashed to the ground, Sylphine massaged her stomach and groaned, muttering something about how she wouldn't enjoy lunch later.

"You okay there, Sylph?" Adrian asked worriedly, but still facing the remaining bandits. "If they won't make a move then I will!" Adrian thought. He charged at the four remaining bandit and stopped at the center of them. He jumped off the ground, and rotate his body around them with his leg stretched out, kicking them all in that one jump. (Tatsumaki senpukyaku!)

Not really feeling like saying any words, Sylphine nodded. When Adrian performed that last jump kick...thing...she used her magic once again, increasing his speed so that the bandits had almost no time to react whatsoever before it was too late. And just like that, the battle was over.

Letting her staff disappear, Sylphine limped over to where the man was. "You're fine, right?" she asked breathlessly.

The man seemed started by everything he had seen, but managed to answer. "...uh, y-yes. I'm fine, thanks to you two. Er, you two are...very strong for your age, I can tell. Thank you for helping me...I don't know what would have happened to me if you hadn't shown up." Sylphine nodded and smiled, but something made her feel like she and Adrian could have done a lot better when it came to working as a team...oh well, what could she do about it.

The man bowed to them, before returning back to where all the people are, seeing that his house has already crumbled to the ground.
