Minami Sonobe
Minami was silent as she heard the familiar footsteps approach. She didn't dare respond to Jay, aware of the incoming pair. She didn't want to reveal her interest yet since Gai was such a clever man. Perhaps even more clever than she was. She turned her head to search out the recognizable blonde locks that Gai had.
"Good morning, Mimi," he said, with a friendly nod as she met his eyes. Minami nodded in greeting and returned his smile with an equally pleasant one. Gai turned his attention to Jay next to her and she could feel him stiffen beside her. It was unnerving. As Gai made introductions with Jay, Minami looked to Yuki who was tagging along with Gai today. The woman made her hackles rise uneasily and it took effort to tamp them down. Her smile edged into something more playful and she raised a brow. Yuki probably felt guilty about injuring Gai and that's why she was tagging him, however, her devotion went past alliances and obligations. Minami mused over the thought of the ferocious Yuki, the mysterious queen, the two-faced monster, the soldier liking a cocksure guy like Gai. Then again.. Minami turned her gaze on Gai once more and looked him up and down briefly. Gai was handsome and smart. Just the type to be dating a girl like Yuki out in the real world. Minami startled out of her thoughts when Jay yelled, "I-I'm fine AND I DON'T NEED ANYTHING!" Minami didn't flinch or blink even though he had managed to shock her by his newfound boldness.
However, she was yet again shocked as Yuki sat down next to her. She stiffened but kept her posture relaxed as she watched Yuki out of the corner of her eye, her main focus on Gai and Jay's interaction first and foremost. "Good day to you Minami. How are you feeling?" She said in a kind voice. Minami, after several long seconds, finally turned her head to face Yuki. Inside her mind, a battle warred on whether she should respond but finally Minami grinned and shrugged. "Fine. Per Usual." Her voice was calm and friendly but her guard remained up. Minami followed Yuki's gaze back to Gai and Jay. "My my. Those two. Quite a interesting sight hm? A veteran and a new comer. Quite the encounter." Minami snickered in response. The sight, although disturbing, was amusing since her sadistic nature enjoyed seeing Jay ruffled but she didn't like being cornered like this either so the amusement was dampened considerably soon.
Another set of footsteps made her eyes widen. This time she couldn't hide the flinch as she peeked up the hall at the incoming figure. It was the man who had almost killed her. The man who had caused her voiceless state. Minami leaned towards Jay and turned her attention to Gai, choosing to act like she hadn't noticed the incoming company. " Gai! I was helping him already. Geez, you're always being so heroic. Give me a chance to be a hero too." She teased playfully, giving him pouty sulk and a following wink.
