Desire watched in amusement as Mihael went absolutely beside himself with laughter at her show of power over the cafeteria lady and she couldn't help but laugh as well. The two probably looked hysterical to anyone else in the room, but neither of them seemed to care. Slowly the laughter died and Dess regained her composure, brushing some of her hair behind her ear and attempting to straighten herself out as Mihael did the same.
"You are an absolute spectacle. Able to control another person through their blood... That. That is seriously impressive. I like that." Mihael complimented, and Desire could see that he meant it- it was possibly one of the first sincere things he had said to her since they met.
"I wasn't looking for your approval, but I'm glad you like it." She responded, smiling despite her words. In fact, she was actually quite proud that Mihael found her abilities to be respectable and she looked down at her marked hands as though they were a gift.
Dess glanced back up from her hands in time to see her white haired companion turn the time forward again on the poor cafeteria lady-turned guinea pig. There was a smile on Mihael's face that appeared somewhat cruel to Desire and she was surprised to find that she didn't really care. She felt a pang of guilt and a flash of anger towards Mihael at the sight of the woman's heartbroken expression but it faded alarmingly quick. Though her friend's voice kept her from dwelling on the thought.
"Oh dear, I'm probably smothering you, aren't I? I'm sorry. I lose my head around pretty girls. And I am a fan of interesting powers. I don't want to make you uncomfortable..."
Desire laughed and waved a hand dismissively at his words. "Smothering's a good word to describe it. You were laying it on rather thick." She accepted the compliment gracefully and shrugged, "compliments are fine in moderation, but I would appreciate it if you'd turn it down a notch, thank you." She gave him and genuine smile and took another drink out of her water bottle.
"If you wouldn't mind, I would like for you to meet my twin brother. He can be a bit... cold and maybe come off as rude sometimes. But I feel like you are someone he would like to meet. Of course, all in time. I still have to show you to the dorm areas as well."
Desire sputtered and nearly choked on her water. "There's two of you?" She asked in shock, though she quickly attempted to regain her composure and laughed at her own reaction. "Sorry. I just- that's cool that you have a twin, it would be great to meet him. After I take my things to my room of course." Dess looked down at her bags and then back to Mihael. "Speaking of which, do you want to go? I think I'm done." She waited for his response and then shoved the half-full bottle of water into a pocket of her suitcase and stood. She'd let someone else take care of the mess of her broken tray.
