Matthew sort of just silently watched, not sure what to say. But that did not mean nothing happened. For whatever being that manipulated Matthew's shadow would find itself hit with a backlash of energy that would harm it. In fact, something about using magic like that on him caused some sort of instability with his own energies, because Matthew could feel it affect him.

"Whatever...you are doing to my shadow, stop!!" he yelled, as a giant tear opened up in the Sky. Whatever had messed with his shadow, somehow had affected his equilibrium. Though, to be fair, Matthew knew almost next to nothing about his own power, so he had no idea what was causing this. And he had read every single book related to Spacetime, Quantum Physics, Magic, Magic for Dummies, Psionic abilities, Metahuman abilities, and a number of insane doctors trying to figure out the truth. Still no reason why he developed this unique ability. Hell, he even researched Angel-Demon lovechilds looking for an answer. What he found was...well, he hoped he would forget someday.

Needless to say, the giant hole in reality was something that no one needed to see. Matthew tried to control it, and it started to close. But not before a giant oger fell through it, and right in front of Mark.

"Oh...shit...sorry..." he said, as the rift popped closed. Matthew was having a bad day it seemed.
