This one did indeed like to talk.

The barrage of questions shot from this elf would have overwhelmed many people, but Sentinel sat as they bounced off of his mind all at once, ricocheting off into the night air. Sen listened, but he didn't hear, or didn't choose to, the only query that he singled out was the one asking of his identity. "Do I answer?" he pondered, rolling the options in his head. It was true that he had asked who she was, and common courtesy dictated he return the favour, although Sentinel and common courtesy were never good frends most of the time, even as passing acquaintances, they would scowl at each other from across a room. No, Sen had no time for manners, but without thinking he let slip his name anyway, perhaps a side effect of his early days in the shadows, when being known by the right people got you on the best runs, with the best equipment.

"Sentinel" he answered carelessly and emotionless. Well, now that was out he would at least get a glimpse of what this Iris' game was. It was unlikely that anyone here had heard of him, and even more unlikely still that she was corporate, not in a place like this. Even so, who approaches lonesome strangers on their own, either this elf was naive, or she knew that she could handle most drekheads who would try to start something. One on one conversations left no room for analysis, before you know it they've stopped speaking and you're expected to speak, like an awkward dance with words that ends when both parties are exhausted rather than when one has got what they needed.

Sen certainly felt like she was pressing, but why? In his experience no one talks because they are interested, but because they want something, and he couldn't for the life of him work out the elf's motives. Finally Sen did the only thing he knew to in this situation, go on the defensive. As he was about to speak up and interrogate this girl, Sen got a message on his comm.

His gear had arrived.

It was as good an excuse as any to leave this line of questioning. Sentinel jumped up and scanned the area, "I have to go" he declared. The drop that he had arranged when he arrived was sitting behind a bench outside a cafe nearby, and Sen was eager to retrieve it, lest he get the offer for a run, and have to empty his already dwindling credstick buying new equipment. Finally he looked at this Iris, still unsure of what she wanted. "I didn't answer your questions" he stated, obliviously leaving out any sort of apology, "do you know anyone offering work?" he paused, "you know, more dangerous work than the usual". He attempted to hint, assuming she wasn't any sort of spy or danger, and hoping she would at least know of any shadowrunners or Johnsons in the area.
