Just the simple motions of strumming his guitar immediately brought Darrin a sense of calm. About halfway through, he opened his to see Althea standing at the door. He did not stop playing, instead watching her for a moment as she seemed to enjoy the music. It had been a very long time since he'd played and even longer since anyone had listened to him. However, Darrin continued. "You know you can come in, right?" He said, raising his voice so that Althea could hear him over the guitar.

After a few more moments, Darrin finished the song. He then gently sat the guitar upon his lap, turning his gaze to Althea once again. He knew that she was likely wondering why he'd left dinner so abruptly. "Kris is pestering the fuck out of me." He said simply. He decided to act as if he didn't suspect her having overheard his conversation with the other man when they'd spoken on the phone.

"Our manager contacted him about performing at some European music festival later in the summer. Well, headlining it actually. So, he's been asking me to get Unfinished Belief back together. I've told him that I want nothing to do with it but he just won't leave me alone." He rose then from his seat, making his way over to the stand that he'd taken the old guitar from earlier. He replaced it and then slowly made his way to Althea, taking a seat next to her.

"I don't get why he won't just leave me alone." He leaned on her a bit, taking comfort in her closeness. It wasn't that he didn't want to get the band back together. It was simply that he just didn't feel like he could be the person that he'd been before Hannah had left. Since Althea had come back into his life, he'd felt better..it was..just a lot to commit to. In all honesty, Darrin missed his friends. He felt horrible for the way he'd treated them before telling them that the band was no more. Even if he wanted to get them back together..he doubted that they would go for it.

And..he couldn't blame them. He'd been an asshole at best and they'd not deserved that. Especially not Kris. Kris...who had saved his life after Darrin had tried to commit suicide. He felt worst about how he'd treated him. If what his friend had said was the truth..then he would be showing up at some point. However, Darrin didn't say anything to Althea about that. He would cross that bridge when the time came.
