"I'm Althea. We met once before, Kris. I was Darrin's childhood friend." Althea said. It was then..as she'd told him her name that Kris suddenly recalled the girl that Darrin had introduced to him so long ago. "Ah..yea..I'm not the best at names. Sorry about that. But, Darrin talks about you all of the time. It's just..been forever since I've seen you." He felt truly bad about having forgotten her appearance. However, once he was looking at her again..it seemed almost too easy for him to see her as the young girl that had been so close to Darrin all those years ago.

He took a seat on the bed, running a hand through his hair before turning his gaze back to the woman. "I know that Darrin didn't want me to come..and I probably should have listened to him. And this is about more than just getting the band back together. He's my best friend. I would do anything for him. I just want him to be happy. Hannah was a fucking bitch to him..and I know that has a lot to do with why he's going through all of this. But, it's been two years. He can't just wast his life away like this. Even you can see that? I don't care how mad he gets..I'm not leaving until he's at least agreed to talk to Zach and Liam. Look, Darrin obviously cares a lot about you to let you in his home. Maybe you could help? He needs to at least try and he's not even doing that. This is a huge deal for us. It would be stupid for us not to do the tour. Darrin needs this. Can you talk to him? He needs to see that he's got to stop sulking about and start being the person that he used to be. Whether he wants to or not."

Kris went silent, waiting for Althea to reply. He hoped that she would help. He suspected that it would be the only way that Darrin would agree to even meet with the others..he cared for this woman. He would listen to her even if he was upset at the time. A few moments passed before Kris rose from his seat. "Regardless, I'm just glad that he's doing better. Seeing him up and moving about makes me happy. Especially after finding him trying to off himself at his old house...cutting. Fucking idiot."

It was then that Kris realized what he'd said. He turned his gaze to Althea, watching her. It was easy for him to see that she'd had no clue that Darrin had tried to kill himself. "You didn't know...I had thought that you did...I'm sorry. It's why his Mom took the kids..why he moved back out here and why his Mom is still living with him. But...you can't say anything to him. Darrin would fucking kill me if he found out that I'd told you. He didn't tell you for a reason. But, even though he's pissed right now..I can see that he's in a much better place than before."
