Slowly Na'ari dropped to his knees, letting tears flow. He felt like every fiber of his being was about to fly apart and scatter into the cosmos. He felt like he failed in everything he believed in. Both as a Descendant of his ancient heritage, and as a bodyguard to a chancellor who is also secretly the head of a powerful criminal body. Worse, the criminals who set him on the path of a rebel because of their hand in his father's death were on the rise again. What could he do?
"Na'ari. . . Are you alright?" Na'ari's eyes jolted open as he felt a clawed hand on his shoulder. Diana was in her true form again and she sounded concerned. "Can I do anything to assist you?" he felt her arm wrap around him almost like a caring person would do.
"She's done enough, tell her to leave you alone. She kept her leadership of The Shade a secret from you." he thought. But Na'ari felt so alone and isolated, and her touch was actually helping to calm him. His mind wasn't thinking clearly from the breakdown. "S-stay. . .please? You're touch is actually helping me calm down faster." he managed to say as he reached and placed his hand on the hand that was on his shoulder. After a moment of silent crying and shuddering he finally managed to calm down.
"Thank you, I'm sorry you had to see me like that. . . But did you come to scold me for my performance on the Silver Moon henchman?" he had to ask that because he was unsure himself why she decided to come see him. But a part of him didn't care, simply wanting her touch to not leave yet. It was then he realized what she was wearing and his cheeks turned red.
"Crap! A fine time to not have my helmet on!!!"
