Addison wanted so badly to protest to her mother, and had even opened her mouth, but then Lani ran her fingers through her hair, and it was like an instant relaxer to the child, whose eyelids grew heavier each second her mother's fingers ran through her hair.
Soon, the girl was having dreams of her and her father playing outside, and him and Lani kissing, and even giving Addison a new little brother. Which she remembers being excited about.
