The whole day Keikei and Alani sat down talking to each other, taking turns on comforting the other. Keikei told her mother about her engagement and that she was a bit terrified on letting Maxwell go off to war in fear that something would happen to him. Alani went on to explain to Keikei about everything that happened the day she contacted Jackson for the first time and everything that happened that night along with going into detail about Logan.
The two women just felt horrible that night, though in Keikei's eyes, she was more happy about herself than anything. The only reason she felt upset was because her mother was and she knew there was nothing she could do to help her, that's what was bothering her the most.
When it came time for school to get out, they heard a car park just outside the house. "Who is that?" she questioned as she stood to her feet and looked out the window, finding that Addison was climbing out of the vehicle and Jackson was with her. "Could you grab Addison and take her into your room or her's and keep her entertained for a few minutes. I need to talk to Jackson," Alani questioned her daughter and she nodded her head.
The two of them stepped outside, Alani stayed on the porch as Keikei made her way over to Addison. "Say your byes and stuff to Dad and we'll go up to your room and get your homework done. Mom has to talk to him," she stated to her with a soft smile as she helped her out of the vehicle.
When Keikei and Addison went inside after a couple minutes Alani stepped up to Jackson, her eyes were still puffy from all the crying she was doing. "Could we talk?" she questioned, hoping that he would accept it. As much as part of her didn't want to speak to him right now, she knew she had to because everything that was going on is effecting their kids, he needed to know what's going on.
