Not in the mood to play goody goody Juni stayed upright, refusing his offer to sit. Her posture slouched into a comfortable position against an old book self that had more trinkets and maps than books. Juniper watched Noah with drooped eyes, perhaps to show him her disinterest. She wasn't sure if Noah's little idea was out of pity, or if it was because she was the only person in town who seemed to be able to keep secret.
Part of her wanted to like this offer, with it's secrecy and plotting, but she couldn't bring herself to appreciate it. It wasn't blackmail, and it was fair, but Juniper was tired of being a pawn. After he finished Juniper scoffed, then she took a moment to stand upright again.
"Just because you're daddy now doesn't mean you can get someone to do your dirty work," she said while crossing her arms. Despite Juni's distaste for Noah's sudden flight into leadership, at least her hope was being restored in his abilities. With that, Juniper turned around the exit, lifting her hand to signal her leave. However, once she opened the door she saw Robin, still wading in the center of town. "Shit," she grumbled under her breath, closing the door in front of her.
Juniper turned around to face Noah once again. "What do I do?" she asked, as if seamlessly continuing their conversation. Juni approached Noah and sat down close enough to lean across the desk.
"I don't want your reprieve though," Juniper began with a shack of the head. "Give it to the Thompkins and Robin."
