Jakub rolled his eyes, resisting the urge to strangle Lucio and squeeze his brains out. Whatever history they had was no longer important to Hake, he just wanted the demon to disappear. But here he was, ruining their fun and making stupid suggestions like attempting to kill one of the highest ranking hunters of the organization. Not only was that asking to be killed, but it would bring the entire organization against him. Hunters from all over, of all races and ages would be looking for him, hunting him down. Then again, that didn't sound too awful. Maybe Jakub would even ecourage Lucio to go ahead and do it. That would kill two annoying birds with one stone. "You have five seconds to put your hands up" the hunter demanded urgently. Jakub looked at Verena. There was no point in fighting it. The game was over. Jakub slowly began to raise his hands and then all of a sudden, the hunter that had been pointing a gun at them was on the floor with a cry of agony. Jake stated in disbelief. He looked at Verena, praying that this wasn't her doing, but she was in the same spot as before, looking just as shocked as Jakub felt. There was a laugh from behind the hunter as he cried out in pain. Lucio's laugh. "What the hell is your problem?" Jake demanded, rushing over to the hunter and his killer. The man was still alive, thankfully, but who knows for how long. "Come on, don't tell you've never thought about it before" Lucio smirked, and Jakub had the sudden urge to bash in his face. After taking a deep breath, Jake looked at the proud looking demon. "prepare to have thousands of hunters after you" Lucio stared at Jakub for a second before bursting out in laughter and swiftly breaking the hunter's neck like a twig. "They'll have no proof it was me" He almost whispered. There was a shuffling of feet near by. Jakub turned to see who they came from. A couple more hunters. They looked appalled as they stared at Jake and then the corpse of what used to be a great man in front of him. Jakub turned to look at Lucio, but he was long gone. He looked around to see Verena. Aside from her, there was no one there that could speak on his behalf, and no one would believe either of them.
Eliana was about to cry, when she heard some noises near by. Eli seemed to have heard them too, and he took her hand and began walking in their direction. The noises died down for a moment but there could still be the sound of voices heard. Maybe their parents were there. Eliana picked up speed immediately, tugging Eli along, until they reached a small group of people. None of them were their parents, but some looked familiar. Elie tugged on the pants of one of the familiar looking faces and the woman looked down at her, first with surprise and then with sorrow filled eyes. "We can't find mama and papa" Eliana explained. Another head turned to look at them and the crowd shuffled a bit. There was a small opening through which her and Eli could both fit. Eliana pushed herself through and looked over in the direction everyone else was looking. Her eyes grew wide and the grip on her brother's hand tightened. She stared at her father's body laying lifeless on the floor and the man standing above him. She could hardly make out his face due to the tears now covering her eyes.
Jakub stared back at the small children in front of him. The looks on their faces, it was more painful than anything he had ever experienced. The boy looked the most distraught. Helpless. Lost. Jakub had never felt so awful. In a secons, the guns were pointed at his and Verena. Regardless of what had happened they wouldn't believe him. Jake quickly took his girlfriend's hand and ran, nearly dodging the bullets that were being fired towards them.
