The answer Jakub got from Verena was not the answer he was hoping for. "I hope this is some weird joke.". Jake stared at her for a moment, trying to figure out if she was joking, but it didn't appear that way. The blue eyed demon rubbed the back of his neck, unsure of how to explain himself. Clearly what had happened back there didn't have the same effect on her then it'd had on him. "Didn't you see the look on those kids faces..hear the desperation in their voice?" he paused for a moment to gather his thoughts. "How would you feel if someone showed up and killed me for no good reason other than fun? Everyone we've killed must have had a family somewhere or-" he stopped mid-sentence, not really planning on explaining it any further. If she didn't get it this way then there was no other way for him to explain. Jakub thought about how he would feel if someone were to show up and kill Verena out of nowhere. He would be devastated, and full of rage towards whoever had killed her. That's how all of those victims families must have felt. That's how the hunter's kids, and the majority of the hunters in the organization felt about him right now, and it was all thanks to one unwanted pest. When Jakub and Lucio were together everything seemed possible. It felt like a dream, which the latter destroyed in an instant. He begged for forgiveness, but Jakub couldn't move past or so he moved on. He found new love and hope in Verena and ever since then it seemed like Lucio's sole purpose in life was to make Jakub's a living hell on earth. Unfortunately, he was succeeding. Those kids, the looks on their faces, the broken hearts, the empty space they'd feel for the rest of their lives, it was all Lucio's fault and Jakub would make sure that he paid for it. "I can't continue to kill for sport Vera" Jakub finally admitted with a sogh. "But once I find Lucioβ¦I will destroy him".
