Jakub was family. He was her only family and that was why she was so confused and frustrated with him right now. None of this has ever mattered before. Ever. They have done much worse to many more people, but Lucio comes by and takes out a hunter and Jake was starting to feel remorse. Verena didn't get it. They had murdered, slaughtered, and obliterated so many people without the thought that they had orphaned children or kept a family from seeing a loved one. Never has this crossed their mind. And it definitely hasn't crossed her mind now especially because she didn't orphan children Lucio did. Lucio caused this. Jakub walked in front of her and gently took her by the shoulders. "Look at me. Can you seriously tell me you didn't feel even a little bad for those lids?" Of course she felt bad. They had lost a father. A family member and they had seen the body. It must have been awful. But Verena had learned to bury these feelings as soon as she got them. If she had some kind of guilt following her every time she killed someone, she wouldn't have been able to continue on. "It's not that I don't feel bad for those kids. They lost their father to some lowlife demon." She started. "I just never let these feelings of guilt get at me the way its getting to you. That way it never stops me from killing a person or a hunter."
