mac#B81E21 - THOUGHTS
The journey to France had been exhausting, to say the least. It involved two four-hour stopovers, and his flight landed him in Italy to meet his sister who'd been temporarily living there for the past few months. The stay had been brief, lasting a mere two days before he boarded the train to Paris. Finally, this short cab trip would hopefully prove to be the last leg of the road and Wyatt could only sigh in relief as the cab rolled to a stop just in front of his building. The gardens just nearby would be the famous Luxembourg Gardens, he supposed. He'd probably take a stroll to get his bearings once he'd figured out his living space and roommates, the latter of which he'd likely have the most trouble with.
When he'd pulled on the strap that held his drafting materials and searched his pocket for his wallet, the driver had already removed the his luggage from the trunk. "Merci." While he'd resolved to avoid speaking the local language for fear of being ridiculed, Wyatt could spare a simple thank you for him as he handed over his pay.
The blue-haired man took a moment to absorb the sight of the entrance, committing the architecture to memory. Without wasting another moment, he grabbed ahold of his things, and entered the building, quickly locating the elevator. Shet. Anong door ulit? (Shit. What door was it again?) When the elevator doors opened to an empty hallway, he maneuvered his things outside with only one hand as his other looked through his phone for the email detailing his living arrangements. He had the key in that same hand, ready for use.
A smug smile broke out as he found the exact email he wanted; Wyatt's good mood grew he realized the suite was the door just ahead of him. "Door 301. Bless technology." The door had been left slightly ajar, although he couldn't hear much movement from within. Placing the unneeded key in his pocket, he used his weight to push open the door, dragging along his things.
There was only one other person in the living room as he passed through, and gave the interior an unseen nod of approval. Blue eyes strayed towards the narrow staircase that would lead up to his room. He gave his things a pointed look, and then stared at the staircase. Oh boy. If he wanted to be gentle on his stuff (in which case he certainly did), then it'd be best if he did two trips instead of one. "Excuse me." With a heave, he lifted the duffle bag onto the sofa and used it to keep his portfolio from rolling to the floor. If the blonde said anything to him, Wyatt ignored it in favor of bringing the largest, and heaviest, of his baggage up the steps.
"Ah. Hello." When he'd peered through, he hadn't been expecting someone to already be in the room. And Wyatt certainly hadn't been expecting a female to be his roommate, even if he had read her name prior to today. He had nothing against the idea, he was just surprised that co-ed rooms were alright with the school.
He forced it the rest of the way open, bringing in the luggage that felt gargantuan in their shared room. Right now, his partner lay on the left bed, although the very existence of his bag was going to prove a problem for them both. "I'll... find someplace else for this once I've unpacked." He spoke in English, uncertain if she understood. Logically, he knew that speaking in French would make this entire ordeal much easier, but like hell he'd let a local hear his botched accident. With all of his strength, he lifted the baggage onto the free bed, laying it flat there so it wouldn't take up the room's floor space. "I'm guessing you're Cècile. I'm Wyatt, your partner and roommate."
