The mage rose from his meditating pose and continued his search for... well, anything really. Most doors he tried were locked with intricate mechanics, with odd pieces that made no sense to him.

However, when he found the trading post, he was rather excited to put his gold to use.

The archdemon standing at the small shop greeted him with a grand smile on his face. Sanul, believe it or not, recognized the bastard; one of the beasts that his cult prepared sacrifices for from time to time. (Sanul gets a 50% discount from demonic merchants.)

In stock today was a Black Rune for 210g, a Tome for 370g, an Elixir of Animation (Give any 1 entity life) for 420g and an artifact (holy crap!); an Orb of Rebirth (die instantly, and revive a new man; your stats are reset, giving you the ability to completely flip your character over!) for 5380g.

Sanul bought the Elixir with all the money on him (-210g) and... wanted the rest. He knew that the guy behind the counter had one, so he asked for a Sacrificial Knife. With little remorse, he shoved it through his arm, letting gold bleed from the large hole left on his limb (-3 Attack until wound heals). With that self-inflicted injury, he coughs up the bloody, scab-covered coin to buy a Black Rune.

His trading done, he went ahead and wandered about, looking for something to kill, or maybe some more coin to buy that Tome he'd seen.
