The Great Khal could only smile, this Jack Dandy made him laugh, a rare feat. Khal Jinn was not a somber man so much as a grim man. His life had harder, harder than most and darker than all. He knew pain and cruelty, shadows and death but laughter and friendship were things more difficult to find. Jinn gave grunted softly and gave Jack the most subtle of nods of approval. Jinn had liked the boy with the painted face since the day he'd first saw him fight in the arena. He may not have been a Dothraki but he fought like one, wild and fierce, daring death to take him. It turned out that he had other qualities Jinn admired, he was funny.
"Vos, no. I'm not going to kill you Jack Dandy, you're tongue is safe."
He said with a friendly pat on the arm. Khal Jinn's big hand forced Jack to stumble a step but he regained his footing almost instantly, seeming surprised by Jinn's friendly demeanor. The Khal rose his gaze from Jack to Jon and Tenanye, still speaking in hushed tones. He wondered what sort of plan the Northern King had come up with, what part Tenanye would play in it, and how many people Jinn would kill before it was done.
"Come, lets here what Jon Stark has in mind."
Jack and Jinn made their way toward the dining area, where the tables were erected for the fighters to eat their fill before training and the pits. The pair got a few odd looks, some from men who would have taken from Jack in the past, one look from Jinn and they knew those days were over. Jack Dandy had made a powerful friend, a friend that would kill every man in the pits for him and they knew it.
"Once I am free, We will leave this place but we will need the Khal's assistance and all of our magic."
"The Khal's assistance you shall have, Jalan."
Jon and Tenanye looked up at him, Tenanye's gaze lingered in a way that warmed the Great Khal's blood. He did not smile, Khal Jinn was not a man to smile often, but his face gifted to her the most subtle touch of warmth.
"You speak Common Tongue?"
Jon said surprised. Jack answered sarcastically as he took a seat beside Jon while Jinn took his place beside Tenanye. Jon caught Jinn and Jack up on what he and Tenanye had been discussing. He told them of how Tenanye could sense that everyone in The Pits had magic of some sort, Jack shifted uncomfortably at that as did Jon, and how three leaders of three nations or peoples had been brought here within a matter of weeks. He told them of the magic bindings on Tenanye's wrists and how only magic could break them. Before they could plot any further a horn blast signaled the end of the days training, it was time for blood.
