3 months into Grandun Siege

It has been three long months since the war first began, and in only two months Centralia had lost nearly everything they used to own. Thankfully thanks to the Centralian army falling back with as many civilians and supplies as they could, they managed to reinforce the capital and began to hold out despite the constant barrage of siege weaponry, and waves of soldiers.

During the first week the Centralian army held off the wave of attackers with ease but as the days passed and more of the walls made unusable due to the constant barrage, they were eventually forced off the walls on the third week of the siege. But they still has one last defense left, the main gate which had held on for so long.

With scouts reporting that the Grandun army will arriving in full force in six hours, King Pedwin had ordered his messenger to send a message to a select group of people to meet up in the lower levels of the capital. This list included the Head Paladin Martellus, Knight Cacila, Mage Vidari, Reaper Swordsman Mashiro, Advisor Simon, and Bounty Hunter Elisabeth. He needed those people to help with the evacuation plan, but he also intended to make a public announcement to tell the people of his evacuation plan .

The king had ordered his royal guard to round up every knight and civilian in the city to meet up in front of the capital, just a few minutes after he had sent his messenger. In half an hour, he had succeded in rounding up everyone in the capital and began to make his speech. "My fellow people! I have gathered you today in our final gathering to tell you all that you can decide to evacuate our fair city. I will not be going with you all since I will be staying behind in this city that we have taken care of for these past 30 years! I refuse to let the army of Grandun trample over everything we have build without fighting back! I will not blame you for going, but I will not force you to go either. It is your decision on what to do next! Be the people to lead our kingdom on a new age! Or be remembered as a warrior in our final moments!" The king roared and the people cheered and applauded back.

About 5% of the people had walked to the capital, the rest of the population began to equip themselves with armor and weapons. Unfortunately the army of Grandun had arrived four hours earlier then what scouts had reported and they began to scale the walls and began to destroy the main gate. Everyone knew this was the last they were going to see the last of their glorious kingdom, but they were going to take as many Grandun soldiers as they could, even if all they could manage to do was wound them slightly.

Soon fighting began to erupt all over the Centralian kingdom, and those select few people who had not arrived within two hours would soon be caught in the fighting and one such person was Head Paladin Martellus who was making sure anyone willing to fight was equipped and put into squads.

Centralian Kingdom: Final Day Of The Siege

Martellus made his was through the once peaceful streets of his beloved kingdom, bodies are strewn across the street like discarded trash. Forcing himself to ignore the sight, he pressed forward to the capital when he encountered a pair of Grandun soldiers, wearing their plate armor with black and orange colors symbolizing their allegiance to Grandun. As soon as the pair saw Martellus, they both rushed at him swords already drawn. He draw his pike from his back and thew it full force against one of the soldiers, easily piercing his armor which was then followed by an explosion finishing the man off. Thinking he was now unarmed, the remaining soldier charged at Martellus only to watch in horror as the mans pike re-appeared in his hand and pierced his chest followed by another explosion.

With the pair of soldiers out his way, Martellus made his way past a barricade with a squad of Centalian knights before arriving at the capital before quickly making his way to the lower levels of the capital.
