Lance watched as Zeek demonstrated how to power the boat. He'd honestly never seen technology like this before, despite knowing that his species was fairly advanced. It was a true testament to how a different lifestyle could make the entire planet evolve in so many different ways. It reminded him there was a balance to be maintained, not just across the planets but across the dimensions as well.

Still, despite how different and how awesome it was, Lance couldn't help but note the flaws. If this kind of technology was very widespread, then by using some sleight of hand, a thief could control a person's life should he steal his or her necklace. But maybe they had measures taken to where they couldn't steal another's necklace or something like that. Nevertheless, it was fairly neat.

He whistled in appreciation as he stepped into the boat looking thing and sat in one of the basket chairs. "This...is...new to me..." he gazed in awe at the inside as he waited for them to depart to the city on the horizon.
