Cordelia shrieked and ducked back underneath the water at the sight of a sudden burst of fire on Land, funneling down the port and back into the main structure underwater. What was that? She had never seen something like that before! It was alarming, kind of scary, but also kind of cool. She left the structure through one of the larger ports, resurfacing between the weird tunnels that jut from the water. Would there be another fire burst?

The current under the water moved in a weird way. Was someone else under there? Who could it be? Hopefully not a predator! With another glance towards the Land, Cordelia made a mental note to check back later for more bursts of fire.

Down under the water things were much quieter, but not so quiet so that she was deaf. Cordelia listened carefully from the direction of the strange currents. It sounded like...something was in the water, over there! About her size, she'd say. Staying close to the ocean floor Cordelia the mermaid made her way over to whatever that was.

Oh!

A being, with legs, was making it's way towards the underwater city. A legger! Cordelia had never met a legger before. She had never tried to, and she didn't take great interest in them, until of course one was spotted right before her. Navigating underwater as if it belonged here all along. Perhaps everything she had learned about the leggers through the stories had been wrong. This legger didn't seem too bad! What did it have on it's body?

"Eyoooo!" Cordelia screeched a gentle hello at the legger from a safe spot just outside a smaller port on one of the sunken structures. She waved both of her arms to form a figure eight, the standard body greeting of her kind.
