Theo made his way over to Lot who placed his hand on Theo's shoulder causing him to tense slightly. They kept walking, slowly as Lot spoke to him. Theo was expecting to get scolded or something but when he realized the conversation wasn't going in that direction he quickly began listening carefully to Lot's every word. Theo could feel the lump of fear in his throat. Sure his curiosity was peaked but he was also afraid of all the griever rumors and tales that were told to him by the other gladers. He didn't know if they were actually as terrifying as others described them him most have never seen one and lived and that seemed to terrifying him more.
Bright blue eyes made their way down, down towards the green that they were walking on as he thought. His curiosity rivaled his fear. He wanted to know what was out there. He wanted to get out of this place and find the girl that looked like him. He had so many questions and non could be answered here since no one here knew any answers to them. They were just like him, clueless on why he was put here with no memory of anything before this.
There are grievers out there attacking people in broad daylight and even though Theo wasn't here for long he knew that that was bad. He's never been told a story about a griever attacking during the day so he instantly knew it wasn't good news though nothing is good about . . . monsters attacking gladers. These people could have killed him when he first came up but they didn't because they weren't like that. They let him live, treated him fairly and welcomed him to the community. He knew they didn't deserve to die by the hands of those things nor trapped in here. He owed it to them. After the long pause Theo swallowed that lump of fear in his throat and raided his head back up. Blue eyes locked on Lot's as Theo nodded. "Yeah, I'm in. You can count on me."
