"The difference is that you have a choice! You don't have to kill them! You don't have to ruin anyone's lives! Please Kitra, I beg of you, cease this war! Divert your funds into bettering the lives of your people!" Her words were going to fall on deaf ears, Kitra was too stubborn and proud. Someone like Kitra would rather die than admit that they were wrong about something. "You've already lost your family, don't take mine too." Celeste choked back a sob, knowing that not everyone was going to come out of this alive. "Please don't do this." It wasn't going to happen though, Kitra would not back down, the war was just around the corner now and Celeste could have sworn she could hear death's door knocking. Everyone had a choice, whether or not you chose the right thing was the path that made the most difference. If Kitra called off the war, she could focus her efforts on food distribution, on rebuilding cities so that the houses were not stacked on atop another.
Instead, Celeste was chained up. "I want to bring Aries with me." Celeste said, feeling awfully cold and slow as the chains weighed her down. "Fine," Celeste was handed her rabbit. She followed them out, the leash tugging her to walk faster and keep in stride with the one holding the leash. It was embarrassing being walked out like this, chained and muzzled, nothing like a Princess. Wherever had the spoiled Princess gone? Now Celeste looked weary. There were bags on her eyes, she had lost a lot of weight and walked with her feet dragging along the floor since the chains were too heavy to move much in. It was clear that the angel was quickly deteriorating from being out of the light and sunshine for so long. The feathers on her remaining wing didn't seem as white or sparkly, her hair had lost its sheen and her eyes its shine. Celeste hadn't had a good sleep that wasn't plagued by nightmares since she had been removed from her home.
"Please, spare them and kill me instead, I will gladly die for my Kingdom." Celeste said once faced with Kitra again. No doubt they all expected her to be dead anyways, no one would have thought that the demon Queen would have even kept the angel alive, there was really no reason for her to other than amusement, which was what had kept Celeste living this long anyhow. Celeste was Kitra's toy for enjoyment, a pet to torment however she pleased. This was one matter Celeste was going to fight tooth and nail on, one bad decision that could change the plains of both worlds forever. Michael didn't look as though he was doing much better. As creatures of light, they had to maintain a certain amount of light otherwise they began to deteriorate. Celeste had already started, the darkness and being kept in basements and torture cells kick starting.
Up on Winona, it was a view that Celeste sorely missed. No doubt her wing would never be fixed, it was probably just an empty promise made to quell Celeste. Seeing her home, being so close to the gate, it made Celeste greatly homesick. "I want to go home," she whimpered, squeezing Aries to make the feeling go away. They were going to charge heaven's gate, to attempt to storm the castle. Meanwhile the angels were waiting for them, no doubt expecting the attack or perhaps simply guarding the border from rebels. Celeste turned towards another dragon when she saw it, her eyes widening. Celeste aid nothing as Michael overpowered Minerva and jumped off of the dragon, opening up his wings. "Go! Save them!" Celeste screamed so loudly that her throat was raw.
