"Michael!" Celeste screamed as soon as Kitra jumped off so that her brother could predict it. "Fly away!" He was going to the gate, going to defend Heaven. Even barefoot and weaponless, Leo the Zodiac had the fighting spirit of a lion. "Please make it, please make it." Celeste pleaded, going onto her knees. Celeste was never fond of praying, but right then, Celeste whispered a prayer. "Please let my family come out of this alive and whole." Then Celeste got back on her feet, wondering if she could jump off of Winona too. From this height, with her body the way it was, Celeste wasn't certain she could make it to the ground. Her body was recharing on sun being at the Gate, she could feel it illuminating inside of her, renewing her, making her body seem refreshed. Her shine came back, her hair and feathers were white once more. "Look out!" Celeste screamed, "Micha-!" Something was stuck to her, a magic circle. Celeste at first ignored it, wondering why she couldn't scream.
It took the angel a few minutes to realize that a magical circle had been slapped on her so that she couldn't yell Kitra's moves. She opened her mouth to scream, to speak, to do something, but nothing was working and Celeste felt tired and weak. She collapsed against Winona's flank, moaning silently. Celeste felt as though she could no longer stand on her own feet, her body shook from lack of energy, lack of sunlight. Celeste panted, trying to take it all in. Her body was so starved for it, like drinking cold lemonade on a warm day. Celeste couldn't bear to watch the fight, seeing the two at odds made her stomach churn oddly. This wasn't how the story was supposed to go, they was supposed make peace, there was supposed to be a happy ending where no one had any smiles or joy. So Celeste rolled onto her back and began to wiggle. If she could tickle Winona, if she could make the dragon go down ad make an escape for her brother who was soon to come.
"Winona, dive!" Celeste tried, but the dragon simply wiggled happily in the air, turning back to lick her. It seemed that Winona too, thought of Celeste as merely her doll. "Go down!" Celeste tried again, pointing down, but it was useless. It wasn't like she could dive off and fly like her brother and she couldn't control the dragon. "Not again," Celeste looked at her hands in frustration. "Why am I so powerless? Why am I so useless!" Then, a thought struck her. Celeste scuffled with her chains, wondering if there was somehow a way to get them off. Maybe if she turned small enough, she could shed them? "I have to try," Winona turned to see what all of the fuss was about. "Struggle, struggle, even more. I'm not done fighting yet!" With a bright burst of light from having absorbed what she could, Celeste turned herself into a mouse. The chains came off, as well as her clothes, leaving behind a mystery. "Shit, no!" Minerva yelled, but it was too late. Celeste turned back into herself, running and diving off of the dragon. "Turn!" Celeste screamed, hoping that she could do it one more time.
"Come on, any second now." The ground was getting closer and Celeste couldn't feel her power listening. "Once more, please." She closed her eyes, ready to hit the ground when suddenly, Celeste was a bird, small and light, able to flit between her brother and Kitra's battle towards Gabriel, marching forward with his own army. "Tweet, chirp, chirp!" She tried, flitting around Gabriel's head. "Move," he said gently, not willing to harm a helpless animal. "Tweet! Tweet!" Celeste felt herself changing again, this time it was outside her control. "The Princess!" A few soldiers gasped. "Celeste!" Gabriel cried, wrapping his cloak around her. "You can't fight, this is what the demon queen wants. Close the gate and hold back." Gabriel shook his head, "I can't do that."
"Why no-" There was suddenly a cry from the mountain beyond, marching front and center, no longer wearing the blue and white of heaven, but instead, darker, more sinister colors, were Raphael and Mizuki. "We must march forward, lest they begin an attack on us." Celeste felt her heart stop in her chest, they weren't fallen, not yet, but if her siblings did this there would be no going back. So Celeste pushed passed them, trying to run up the hill when she felt something clamp down on her ankle. "Oh no you don't, don't forget, you're the Queens!"
