Russell began to calm down by the time Phoebe began cleaning up his face. He gave her a appreciative nod. "Yeah.....I'm ok.....I'm ok.....Just.....uh......needed to catch my breath." He stated. All of this, the burning bar, the dead bodies, and the smell of blood in the air was bringing back vivid memories of the massacre. As Phoebe carried Aziel to the van, and got on the phone to touch base with the pack Russell sniffed the air around him in the hopes of picking up the scent of the girls. The smoke, the blood, and the gunpowder made it difficult.
When Phoebe called him over to return to the pack he started his way over to her. 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! IF YOU WANT THOSE TWO BACK YOU'RE THE BEST CHANCE! THESE TWO WEAKLINGS ARE INJURED, WE'RE NOT!' As Russell reached for the car door he stopped. "No. You two are injured, I'm not. I can still go. You two return to the house, and touch base with everyone there. I'll follow the trail, and find where they're holding Eve, and Charlie." He stated.
"We don't know where they're taking them, and by the time we get everyone gathered up the trail could go cold." He added as he walked over towards Phoebe's side. "Now, if I hurry that won't happen. I can track with the best of them. I'll find them, and call you guys in. You send in the scouts before you call in the cavalry." Russell stated. He ran his hand through his hair, and let out a loud sigh. "Look, I know you and I will never be friends, but trust me in the fact that I don't want to lose anyone else I care about. I will lay my life on the line if it means rescuing Eve, and Charlie. You can trust that."
Russell stared intently in Phoebe's eyes, his own unwavering as if challenging her authority. "I get that you don't believe I have the pack's best interests at heart. I understand your misgivings about me, and in fact I encourage it. But look at yourself, look at him." He stated as he pointed toward a injured Aziel. "But I'm ok, I can still go. You two regroup with the pack, and I'll call you when I find them. I won't make a move without back up, I'm not stupid. It is our best play right now."
