Their numbers were few, very few, The Seelie Queen had no choice but to make this deal. The other fae did not like this, not wishing to be indebted to creatures of the Night, as that's what the Unseelie were. But they knew they could not do this alone, they were already tossed from their home, forced into exile in this world, they needed more allies not enemies, and surely if the Unseelie were clever enough to find them, they would make short work of them in this realm, with iron buildings and vehicles. The Unseelie would keep their distance until the Witching Hour when they were the most strongest. Which it was now.

The Seelie Queen traveled alone because of this, knowing that she was strong enough, even at the time, to face any that would come calling. She was a Dryad, powerful enough to move the very earth beneath them, and though she was Queen, to the Fae, that made her the most powerful of them, even if the UnSeelie King had managed to do enough harm to her to lose the war.

It was her folly, she should have married him, but she was refused to be his slave. This King was not like the those who came before. She was a conquest, and he would have treated her as such. She couldn't allow that but the cost of that was great.

No, she had to do this alone, she chose herself over her people before, and that nearly ended the Seelie as a race, this time she would sacrifice the very blood in her veins to save her people.

The meeting was to be held on mutual ground, The Seelie had settled into an island forest, the trees blanketed the small island, making it near impossible for anyone to see in if that happened upon it, and for added measure there were wards on the island that made it so that should Man happen upon this island without Fae guidance or blood, they would wander around it, never knowing it was there.

The Seelie Queen traveled through the murky water that was called by Men the English Channel by wooden ship, it would appear uninteresting but truth was it was beautifully crafted and fit for a Queen.

Once the ship docked, caught a carriage out to a place called White Chapel, for her escort, the Vampire Lord. She was dressed in the fashion of the people. A long deep green gown with a mandarin collar, a fitted corset around her waist but she wouldn't pull her hair up, even though she wore a hat to match her emerald gown. she liked it long and flowing, she knew she looked foreign but she didn't care, what she was wearing, for the Seelie Queen, this was already too much. She didn't know why the mortal women thought this was fashionable. It was hardly comfortable but she wouldn't judge, her kind was just as happy in nothing at all.

She looked up at the dark night, the sky dotted with star and the moon bright and full. She had that to say for this realm, it was beautiful, for all of it's iron, they way they fought with nature, the one thing they couldn't hurt was the sky, and it was breath taking.

"'cuse me, Miss?" called a man, calling the Seelie Queen from her thoughts. "You not from 'round here, are ya?" he asked, and with a sneer that made her turn up her lip. "No, I am not." She said, "What's a lady like you doin' all the way out here, all by herself?" He asked and she knew where he was going with this, but she had to keep her head down. Her allure was up, she knew, she wanted to appeal to the Vampire Lord, and she didn't know him to look at him. It was not this drunkard, that was for sure.

"Waiting for someone." She said simply.

"At this time of night?" he asked. "Must be up to no good." He said and approached her, coming close as if he would grab her. "Don't." She said, holding up a hand but he kept coming. He reeked of rum and tobacco. "I'll pay double." He said and wrapped himself around her, in attempts to kiss and grope her. Pay double, for what?

The Seelie Queen, while her magic was limited, it still gave her enough strength to fend off this cretin. She moved, grabbed him by the throat and lifted him from the ground with ease. "Go. Away." She said and dropped him before he had time to register what she said. He crab-walked backward, gaping at her. "Y-your one of them?" He said, then scrambled to his feet, and took off the other direction. She merely shrugged. She was no Vampire but it was best they thought as much. The less mortals knew of the Fae the better.
