As Kate was ready to steer Alice away from the now wet, curly haired boy. Alice gave a warning about Kate's behavior that Kate ignored. Though only seconds later the was proved right as the Irish guy grabbed her arm."Hey! My clothes are just about ruined for the evening, my brother thinks he's a goddamn ninja spy, and we only need five minutes to speak with both of you." Alice jumped in to smooth things over and protect Kate, which she always did in a way that warmed Kate's heart. They may not have had many people in their corner, but they had each other. Though Kate was more concerned with a certain brother. Surely he couldn't be talking about that guy. She didn't have to think very long, the British guy from earlier came strolling in and straight over to them.
Kate rolled her eyes and pulled her arm out of the grip of the curly haired guy. "Stalk much?" She said sarcastically. Then the guy grabbed Alice's camera and pulled out the memory card. Her jaw fell open though when he put it in the cup. Kate looked hesitantly over at her sister. She put her hand on Alice's back and leaned in close to her ear so she could whisper, "I'll seriously kick his ass for you." Kate knew how much that meant to Alice. All her work was on that thing and this douche thought he could just throw it all away. Kate seriously regretted ever thinking he was attractive. Then Kate quickly added on, "Unless you want to do the honors." Most people tended to think Kate was the only sister with a good right hook, since Kate was the one always showing how ready she was for a fight. Kate knew from some more limited experience that Alice could hit with the best of them.
Kate looked back at the Brit actually flirting with Brianna. Kate made a big show of fake gagging. Now she definitely regretted flirting with him. He left Brianna and came back to the group. Though Kate was shocked to see him drop the memory card of Alice's camera back safely into her hand. Kate leaned forward to try and see Alice's face, she wanted to know if the beat down was still on. She didn't get a chance to see as she was roughly grabbed by the other brother this time. What about her said, 'grab my arm, take me with you'? "Sorry luv, but in all fairness you will want to hear what we have to say. Doesn't every orphan want to know about where they come from?" He said.
Kate frowned and tried to get out of his grip. "Not this orphan," She lied. Of course she had always wanted to know where she came from, but she hated anyone thinking they knew her. Especially this guy. Then Kate felt an intense heat in her arm that stung quite a bit. "Shit!" She said about to jerk he arm away but he released it staring at his own hand. Which Kate had to admit she was staring at as well as it was practically glowing orange. Kate did a check of her arm to make sure he hadn't go any of that glow-y shit on her, but her arm was clear.
Then some sort of havoc ensued. The guy backed away before started well- This may sound stupid but Kate's careful eye definitely saw fire grow from his hands. The refreshments table caught fire and the guy seemed to just stand there with hands on fire. Kate stood just staring at him. Luckily Alice went in safety mode. She gave a few people instructions and to Kate she said, "Go to the car, I'll meet you there." Alice used a tone that didn't allow you to disobey. Then to the Irish boy she yelled out, "look for a fire extinguisher while I get water!."
Kate turned to the Irish boy and was said with a hand on her hip, "You better go help my sister." Then Kate with one last look at the British guy she said "You should probably go outside." She disappeared through the front door. When Alice got like this, Kate found it very hard to go against her. Plus Kate's stomach was doing flips. She made it outside the door but she sort of stumbled to the side holding her stomach. She felt like she was going to puke. Which was weird because she was sure she hadn't drunk that much. Kate sort of stumbled her way to the car and braced herself against the side door.
Kate fell to one knee and prepared herself for vomit. Though she shocked when she looked at the hand she had placed on the ground to steady herself. It had feathers attached to the back of it. She frowned but tucked the hand into her pocket. She hoped Alice wouldn't take too long, Kate's stomach felt ready to explode and apparently she was hallucinating.
