Maxin gave a quizzical look to Skyva. Good strong name? he thought. It was an odd descriptor, but it held it's own charm to it, he decided as he stepped outside, Snips, Dalia, and Liam right behind him. They watched as Radegast tried to flip the bike underneath him and ended up eating shit for it. Maxin reacted as any other friend would and laughed hard as he ran over to Radegast's side to help him up.

"Man, that was pretty bad," Maxin told him earnestly and with humor in his tone to indicate he meant no hard feelings, "But that's why I don't get BMX bikes." He began to unfold his own to ride for the long journey to Driftveil.

Meanwhile, Snips was taking note of Radgeast's seemingly distant interaction...like his mind was clouded with thoughts and burdens for the future. Something that Maxin might have noticed as well had it not been for the bikes and that was a good thing. Snips had a different way to do things than to call him out on it. He knew in the end, Radgeast would make whatever decision he deemed necessary to make. After all, it wasn't the Servine's job to tell him where to go. It definitely wasn't Maxin's either.

"Snips, are you okay?" Liam approached him from behind.

"Yeah, just thinking is all..." he replied, "I think we're about to head out, by the way."

Liam nodded before running up to Maxin and tapping his foot, then tapping the PokeBall on his waist, indicating he wanted in.

"Oh...sure then," Maxin pulled out the PokeBall and opened it, engulfing Liam with red light before he disappeared inside. Dalia also waddled up and went inside her own. Maxin then held up Snips's PokeBall.

"Your choice, buddy," he called out to the Servine.

Snips didn't need to hesitate and think. He wanted to rest for this leg of the journey, especially after taking the brunt of the Gym Fight against Elesa. Plus he wasn't worried anymore about Maxin being a bad trainer. The boy had more than proven himself otherwise. He trusted him.

"Alright, let me in," Snips held his arms out, ready to be taken. The red light engulfed his body and he was in the PokeBall. Maxin placed his starter on his belt before climbing onto his bike and shifting the gears to an appropriate speed for a flat city landscape.

"To Driftveil then?" he said to Radegast and Skyva, pointing his bike towards the northwest end of town where the beginning of Route 5 lay in wait for them.
