"Of course I'll stay safe, have I ever lost a fight?" Well, technically she lost plenty of times. Even though she killed Furfur and Ronove at the Envy Village she lost to Thanos. She also lost to Mizuki and her actual original body was incinerated into nothing, it was only through sheer luck that Thanos had inserted her soul in an alternate dimension to be tortured in, which Maya was able to extract into a fake body made by Gremory and Lilim. "There's no way I'll lose, not with your love helping me. So we'll definitely meet again." Celeste threw a kiss onto her and Kitra returned it, it felt sweet but also bitter because they didn't know how long this parting would be - but then Gabriel broke up the kiss. "I'll miss you, but it's okay, because this isn't goodbye." And so Unlucky flapped his magnificent wings and they were off, leaving Eden behind, heading towards Heaven's Gate, towards the Onyx Citadel.
The flight was long and tiring and boring as well, since they needed to take plenty of breaks for Unlucky to munch on grass in order to keep going. She also had little cookie in her bag ad ate them lovingly. "Wow, you're really great at-" Oh, right, Celeste wasn't here, she was back in Eden, dealing with stuff that needed to be dealt with. For some reason not being with Celeste felt like being stabbed by an ice pick and when she passed Heaven's Gate atop Unlucky's back, it really hit her that they were apart now, that who knows how long it'd be until the Angel Army was ready to march. So Kitra allowed herself to cry because there was no one here to see, it was just her and Unlucky here, up in the sky, leaving Heaven's green pastures behind for the dead wasteland that was Hell.
It was nearly night when Kitra made it to the Onyx Citadel, setting Unlucky down. Cambion was there, greeting her, Skyla gave her a blank stare but you could tell she was happy from the way she flattened her ears against her head. Sunny jumped on her and playfully bit a tentacle - this time without actually biting down - but then let out a cry when he realized his mama wasn't there too. "Welcome back!" Lilim exclaimed, pressing a button on some sort of gadget which decided to make a loud honking noise and blow streamers out. "Minnie's still hurt, so please lead us to victory, big sis!" Kitra's eyes were long since dry and she nodded. "Of course, that's what I'm here for. As long as I breathe, the Onyx Citadel won't fall."
Cambion took Kitra then and brought her to the strategy room, where logs of every battle had been. It was always one of Kitra's things to know how the enemy liked to fight each battle, to see how they reacted in what situation so that Kitra would know what to expect and counter it. Studying your opponent meant learning their quirks. There weren't any injured around, which meant one thing. Lilim was doing her duty as Princess, even if it meant feeling all of their wounds. But after being hurt by Liandry's Torment on the Altar, perhaps this pain was nothing to her. "Before you head off into battle, there's something we should do first." Cambion said thoughtfully and Kitra was thinking the same thing, grinning wildly. "Hell yes I'm taking the throne again. It's time for Hell's rightful Queen to come back to town!" Oh, if only Celeste was here to see her re-coronation.
