Even after offering the two choices, Yui wasn't budging, she wasn't even speaking so Raven couldn't figure out which of the two to do. "If you don't choose, I'll choose for you." Raven muttered, growing more agitated, tapping the angel's shoulder as gently as she could. "You're there, I know you are so please say something." Why didn't Yui even want to try to understand? Why was she so hated? "Do you just hate me? Did you never even care about me when I was Haruka once? Were all those good memories fake?" And so Raven really did start to cry, she couldn't bear it anymore, to have Yui reject her over and over and over again, for Yui to be nothing but a broken doll waiting to die but being unable to.
Leo was here then, talking, offering another solution but Raven shuddered as she stared at it. "I want the decision now. It hurts too much, I'd rather Yui be free elsewhere than to keep her locked up like this even for one more second." She was actually visibly shaking, and so Leo nodded respectfully, doing the swap behind his back so Raven wouldn't suspect a thing. "Why don't you understand why I had to become dark?" Raven asked in a whimper. "I never would have been able to rescue you from Prometheus, Mayumi and Hime would have had their plan work out perfectly, don't you see?" She clung to Yui then, not not digging her nails in or holding too tightly. "Trying to find you for so long, I was getting desperate, I didn't know how else to save you! I became dark because I wanted to rescue you, to bring you back home, to make the family whole again."
She rubbed at her now red eyes, breaking down. "I tainted my soul to save you and you don't even care. You might have just been happier letting Hime and Mayumi turn you into the Goddess, wouldn't you?" Her darkness was surging, Raven was spiraling out of control now. "You never loved me, you never loved any of us. That's why you won't join us even when they did, because they still cared about the family even if you didn't." She stared at the angel, looking for even the tiniest hint of love, but finding nothing at all. "Did you ever consider us anything? Or did you lose the ability to love the moment you lost your memories as Loretta?" Raven shuddered as if a cold chill was dripping down her back.
If Yui didn't want to join, if she didn't want isolation, then Raven knew she had to do the hardest choice of them all then. "Fine." She sniffed, quieting herself. "I'll let you go free. You'll die, and I'll take your seed and let it rot so no one can have it and use it. You'll be free, because you'd rather die than be with a family you never loved in the first place." She raised her railgun then, letting it whir. "I'm sorry." Raven said in a low voice, full of despair. "Sorry that I tried so hard to save you that I sold my soul to get you back to us. I'm sorry for loving you like a sister."
