Yui shuddered when Raven touched her, her hands were cold. Raven was accusing her of things now, making it seem like this was all Yui's fault, that she hated Haruka before she became Raven, that all of their happy memories were fake. It stung, hearing those words, knowing that the darkness was corrupting Haruka so much so that she couldn't see how much pain everyone else was in. Yui couldn't take it anymore, she felt nauseous. Her arms shook as she pushed herself into a sitting position, her bones creaked, it was the most moving she had done in a long time now. Slowly Yui turned to face Raven, her eyes already stinging with tears. "They weren't fake," Yui said quietly, her voice squeaking. Her hair was messy and matted, she wasn't sure when the last time she had taken a bath was and she was certain that her skin had its own permanent layer of grime.
Leo went over to the machine, Yui thinking he was just doing the normal light infusion. He tapped the dark vial, one of the lines growing thick with what looked like ink. Yui didn't notice, she was listening to Raven's accusations, her justification for doing all of this. "I'm sorry," Yui said quietly, "I didn't want any of this to happen," she choked, her light bearing mark already flickering. Yui cried out in pain, doubling over. She coughed, blood spattering the pillows, adding a little bit of color to the starchy white sheets. Their family could never be whole, not with what Haruka had done to it. She had killed their parents, had turned Ronan into a puppet and was going to enslave the rest of the world too. Her accusations were painful, claiming that Yui had lost her ability to love. Little did any of them know how right Raven was, that Yui could never love a single person.
"Just do it already," all of these threats to kill her and the only one that had made good on their promise was K. "You always intended to take it," there was blood dribbling out of her mouth now. Yui curled up in a ball on the bed, squeezing her eyes shut. Leo was frozen, watching between Raven and Yui. Finally he stepped between the two, "do it now," he whispered, "it'll be easier now that the darkness is in her." Darkness was easily tempted, as they all knew and if anyone could tempt it the best it was Raven. She had converted everyone else, after all. "It hurts," Yui whimpered, clutching her stomach. She wanted to throw up, her head was spinning horribly. Was Raven going to kill her or not?
"Should I bring Damian and Ally? You can do it while she sleeps," do what? What were they talking about? "Even if you don't do it now, the darkness will influence her, she'll change her tune quickly." Darkness? Was that what he had done? Yui groaned, it almost felt like she was dying again, only her stomach hadn't been ripped open and there was only blood coming from her mouth, the taste it of it overwhelming.
