And here the old man stood up and looked the emperor in the eye. "There is no doubt in my mind that you realized the true nature of that being. What it did, it did with as much effort as it would take you to blink."

As the shaking continued the burned man sighed, lifting a hand and quieting it. "There, now that that nuisance is set aside. I understand that you are newly risen from the dead. And I also understand that you have ever seen to the survival of your people."

"Now you could ignore this warning, pay me no heed and go about your own way. In time you would come to face him, and while I doubt your pride would bend enough for you to admit you regret it, your people will. Facing the might of the chaos gods is one thing. Facing an entity whom, by their sheer presence, would have you fighting for your life and sanity, and that is without actually trying, is another matter entirely"

"But if you would choose to spare your people such a fate, this is the one and only opportunity you will have. After this, I will cease to exist." The burned man said. "Your people are quite good at surviving using technology and equipment you have lost all knowledge of. But in this instance, I might give you knowledge that would make your purpose easier."
