Kane's Dorm

"My expectations aren't important," Rianne answered, following with an obnoxiously loud yawn and stretch. All this stress must've been affecting her mentally and physically because her entire body was starting to feel pretty damn sore. No thanks to the unholy trio of Isaiah, Angel Brightass, and the fuckface that decided to flaunt her kidnapped wife as a hostage through her phone. She sighed as though all of the troubles of the world were upon her and continued, "If you put in the effort, it'll show. As for the tea. . . I'll let you decide, I'm not picky." Her eyes followed Kane as he placed the tray and poured her some tea. As he moved on to give Erica her fill, she added off-handedly, "Mind if I have a smoke?" Though by then, she had already taken out a cigarette and started lighting it.

When Erica took her turn prodding Rianne with questions, she took a drag of her cigarette and replied, "I'd use the word 'training' loosely, that's what the WDL academy is here for. But to answer your question. . . Maybe." Rianne made sure that last word was very prominent. She'd been meaning to use this time to talk about Kane's hastiness. He seemed like a good kid, but he was definitely asking the wrong person for this. "I've got some shit to take care of first, and then we can talk this over for real. For the time being, though, I can't say I'm interested. I haven't taken any apprentices and I don't plan to in the future." Directing her her gaze at the young man, she said, "That means you, Kane. I don't know what kind of ideas you had running through your head, but I never agreed to any of it. Asshole that he was, blondie was right - I'm barely fit to be a teacher."

That said, she popped a biscuit in her mouth, concurring with the new girl's assessment of them. These are pretty good.
Then, of course, he had to ask about Yohan. Rianne didn't have the mind to put an awkward atmosphere on their dinner, so she simply shrugged in response. "No idea. Seemed like he had other plans."

Yeah. 'Plans.'
