The truth of Saint Raven's? It was bombed and other than Sam, everyone was killed during the attack. It was a war between Ornet and Kilika, situated somewhere around what used to be Tibet. The two cities were at war, and during this fighting, the orphanage was hit and Sam was the only survivor. This was almost eight years ago now, in reality Emma White and Irina Reisser never got to grow to the ages they would have been. Eight years in the past, they were killed, and all that remained was this list of orphans Sam kept close to his heart at all times. "We came here to learn to be strong." Irina said with a confident grin, and a part of her wanted to cross blades with Lise here and now... but that would ruin their cover faster than anything else would. "To ask for protection is to give up on learning!"
Rose was an emotionless sort of strong, the king that was nearly unruffled by anything, the kind that wanted to shed blood above all else. While Irina too was strong, it was a different sort - she was also able to joke and chide and tease, a much more outgoing personality type than Rose or Prisca would ever be. It was easy to fall into the role, because all Prisca had to do was consider Irina to be another extension of herself, separate from her other personalities. "I just s-said, I'm not strong, okay?" Lise was blushing and squirming now, she really didn't see herself as strong. "I just got lucky..." A dark look was on her face then and she straightened her back. "In truth? I should be dead right now, but I'm still alive. It's luck, not strength, okay?" What was she talking about here? Prisca very much wanted to know.
"It's okay, you can tell them." Sam said, and Lise nodded, her eyes grim and serious. "If that girl had taken me seriously, I'd be dead right now. Stella Miya, one of the rebels, and their strongest. I was promoted because I caught her, but..." Lise was embarrassed again but of a different sort - the shame of being looked down upon on a battlefield. "Because I was a child, she went easy on me, so it was easy to shoot her and capture her alive." Lise laughed hollowly, as if she regretted that, as if she didn't consider it a victory because it wasn't a fair fight between equals at all. "The fact that you're alive is proof that you're strong enough, Lise." Irina said with a smirk, wagging her finger teasingly. Lise nodded then.
Sam shoo'd Lise out hastily. "Send a message to L, tell him we're almost there." Lise nodded and scampered off to do the task. They were safe now and Sam sighed, resting his eyes on Rose and Miiko. He ruffled through his bag and found two more papers - histories and personalities and other such information of Irina and Emma. "We're almost at Capitol City, where your new lives will begin." Sam patted both of their heads with affection. "Do your best, I'll always be proud of you." Irina sneered brightly. "I'll surpass you, so don't hope to keep your seniority for long, okay?" The ice fencer said with a pleasant ladylike smile.
