|| Stand By Me|| Florence and the Machine ||
"I want... sleep," Emma murmured, her head lolling. A shock traveled up her spine, causing her to jolt upright. 30%, it was already getting hard to breathe although perhaps that was the claustrophobia of being tied down and connected to several thousand wires. "My predecessor was a bearer of darkness, artificial, the same, in a way, as I." Emma was hardly listening, it was hard to hear with a wire in one ear. Emma blinked once, twice, she wondered if the static across her eyes was because she was going to be electronic. "Why me? Why not Cyrus or Jonah?" She asked, attempting to swat a wire away from her mouth with a shake of her head. "Because you-"
"No! For real! Why did you chose me!" Emma shouted, thrashing. Ronan was quiet for a moment, a wire behind his eyes sparking. "Because you are the smallest, they will risk everything to rescue you." Ronan replied at last, "That's not true! Lise is the youngest!" But Lise was also the strongest. "You should have held the Senator's son hostage, that would have had a bigger impact, or-" but Ronan only shook his head. "You do not understand politics child, be quiet." There was a groan from somewhere within the walls. "It seems that they are attempting to break the chamber," Ronan turned towards the wall. Emma felt another plug, this one connecting in the back of her neck. She cried out in pain as the screen turned on, allowing Ronan to watch as they mobbed his body. Emma felt what tasted like blood trickle out of her mouth. "Hungry," she murmured, not having eaten breakfast.
"I just wanted to be a good cadet," one of her eyes had turned green, there was an endless scrawl of code. They were at forty five percent now, Emma was quickly fading but she was not allowed the mercy of falling into unconsciousness, "I wanted to kill rebels," she whispered, "for what they did to my family." Ronan ogled her, "but you are a rebel." Emma shook her head, "No, I'm not." His eyes blinked, refocusing. "Emma White, are you not the one responsible for the attack on the orphanage?" Her head jerked up. Ronan played back the video caught on a security camera behind Emma's left eye, allowing her to watch as the chaos ensued and little Emma was seen with a box of matches, disappearing. "That's not... that's not... it was a bomb! It came from the sky!" Her hands shook in terror, Emma couldn't have been the one to have killed all of those children.
"Correct," Emma's head jerked up. "I only wanted to observe human emotion," she sighed and leaned her head back. "Humans are curious creatures, what other emotions can you show me?"
"Wait!" Someone ran into the room, "you can't kill it like that! The android is made to resist all physical assault!" The scientist was panting, "the only way to take him down is with the back up program and only Pablo has the ability to do that."
