In the morning they had breakfast, but then they needed to go. There wasn't much time - there were so many possible places where Sam's destined Spirit could be hiding, so many places that they had to search if they wanted to find it. There wasn't much time, only four days before they had to report back, since Miiko had slept a whole day away and all. "Here we are, it's my boat." Sam said in an almost bashful way. Irina had already seen it, and they needed to play the part of their roles yet again. She was still carrying Emma, just in case she needed it. Pablo and Orianna were at the dock to see them off. Of course none of them knew about the reasons why they were sailing out.
"Good luck, Sammy boy." Pablo leaned in to give Sam a kiss, playful and flirtatious all over again. "I hope this cruise helps take your mind off of what happened." Pablo knelt down and patted Emma on the nose fondly. "And I hope you won't be afraid to try the SimulCrum again." Irina grinned, back to her peerless self again. She hoped that her taking the flawlessly haughty mask off for a moment down in the labs wasn't going to ruin the facade. "What are you doing here, don't you have cadets to train?" She mocked him teasingly. Orianna wasn't quite so flouncy, of course. "Take care, all three of you." She looked Sam in the eye, like an older sister of his. "Sam, you can tell me anything, I'll always be willing to listen, no matter what secret you're keeping." Sam gave her a hug, and Irina wondered how much of it was acted. "It makes me glad to know I have a friend like you." Luckily Aria had created an illusion, making herself invisible upon exiting the house so that Pablo and Orianna saw neither hide nor hair of her.
And now it was time to set sail! "You and Aria are Ornetian, right?" Irina asked and Sam nodded his confirmation. "Yes, because Ornet was once where the Japanese lived." Aria struggled to think of what to say for a few minutes. "N-never seen Ornet." She said stiffly, rubbing her knuckles. "Wonder how change it is." "Changed." Irina corrected her. "Changed it is." Aria blushed and then scowled, looking away. The four of them went to the control room where Sam would be inputting the autosail direction. "I heard a rumor, that there was some mysterious idol that Ornetians worship." She heard it during class one day, gossiping classmates, naturally. "Under an electric city."
At that Aria's eyes seemed to light up. "Akiba." She said, a word that meant nothing to anyone here. "Electric city." She said, trying to speak again, looking frustrated that no one knew what she was talking about. "Akihabara." Maybe if Irina had been a watcher of anime, she'd have known what it was, but she didn't. Sam however smiled at her and flicked her between the eyes, making her jump and then glare sourly. "Well, if you're familiar with Ornet too, if you know where to look, then I'll let you lead once we land." Sam looked to Irina and Miiko then. "Ornet is still Republic territory, so you two will have to keep the act up." Irina nodded. She knew that much at least.
