Remembering how Yui screamed before everything went dark, Aria flinched. She didn't want to think about the pain Yui must have felt, the immense light bursting out of her in that fateful moment, it was horrible. Of course there was only one possibility from what Miiko said, how else could the world have changed so much? Yui always was a mermaid, so that was it then, Yui destroyed the world and made a new one, and now the peace of this world was in danger again, and somehow, her sister, M, was involved. "L... my time." She tried to explain. "K... L, not same." Sam was done with the Rebellion update and Irina had quelled her emotions as best as she could. "Yui would have noticed if the Goddess's power was coming from L." Irina mumbled, thinking. "So he's not a Spirit, so he and L can't be the same."
Family relations, perhaps? Much of what happened in the past was destroyed in the Calamity, there was hardly anything left from that time now. "I feel like the Senate is more dangerous, they tried to let you die, Mimi." They were the ones arguing against going along with Ronan's demands, sacrificing the few for the many. "They're all enemies, if we kill one, the other will take over the Republic." Sam said, thinking hard and long about this. "They both block each other's power, but if we only deal with one side, then there won't be any balance and checks left in the government structure." Meaning there won't be anyone in Capitol City to stop L or the Senate from doing whatever they pleased with the might of the Republic. "We have to take them both out at the same time." That was Prisca's conclusion to the puzzle, easier said than done.
Well, since they had a long time until arriving in Ornet, why not do something a little bit silly? "Aria, let's fight, I want to see what you can do." They did fight once, but Yui had interrupted then. She wanted another go at it, both of them at full strength. A competitive glow was in Aria's scarlet eyes, she was ready. "Yes." She said, a fanged grin decorating her pretty face. And that was how the four of them gathered on the deck up top, cold sea wind brushing against them, ruffling their clothes. As long as Prisca could predict three moves ahead, there was no way she could lose in single combat! She got in position, her rapier in hand, and then she focused hard on Aria's movements, and it all went into her head. Aria was going to make herself invisible, and then try to attack her from behind!
Rose knew what to do, she knew how to win this. So she prepared a defensive position and waited, waited, waited until the perfect moment, Aria had made herself invisible but if you listened closely you could hear the wind shuffling as she flew to get a better vantage point. Finally there it was, the charging of air, and Prisca stabbed out - but then she felt an impact on the other side, sending her crashing to the floor of the deck. A dragon of air appeared in the sky and chomped down right in front of her, and Aria reappeared with a grin. "Knew was listen." She said, making the dragon disappear with a magnificent sparkling boom. "Made wind, hide sound. I win!" Okay, fine, but that was because Aria was the strongest for a reason. "You win." Prisca conceded.
